Professor Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain is a distinguished computer scientist, AI expert, educator, researcher, and academic leader with extensive experience in Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Agent-Based AI, digital innovation, and technology-driven education. With more than 250 international publications and over 3,000 Google Scholar citations, Professor Dr. Hossain has established a strong international reputation for research, innovation, and advancing science and technology in Bangladesh. He currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Digital Innovation (FCSDI) at UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus. Professor Dr. Hossain has also made notable contributions to socially impactful technology, including the development of the Bengali Braille Machine, which has supported educational opportunities for visually impaired students in Bangladesh. His contributions to technology and innovation have been recognized through several awards, including the Digital Innovation Award (2011), National ICT Award (2016), and Best Professor in IT Award (CISO-Asia, 2012). An alumnus of the University of Rajshahi, he completed post-doctoral training at Lumière Lyon University, France, and received an academic fellowship from Linnaeus University, Sweden.
